Dhaka, June 28 -- Four people have been arrested in separate incidents of child rape and sexual assault following complaints received through the National Emergency Service 999 over the past three days.

Police Inspector Anwar Sattar, media and public relations officer of the National Emergency Service, confirmed the incidents on Sunday.

In the latest incident, a father from Maona area in Rupganj, Narayanganj, called 999 on Sunday morning, alleging that a 40-year-old man had attempted to rape his five-year-old daughter.
