Barishal, March 16 -- A fire that broke out at the Global Capsule factory of Opsonin Pharmaceuticals in the Rupatali area of Barishal on Monday afternoon has been brought under control.

The blaze, which originated in a part of the factory around 4:30pm, sparked panic among employees and nearby residents.

On information, five units of the Barishal Fire Service rushed the spot and controlled the fire after about two and a half hours.

Station Officer Rabiul Islam said the fire is believed to have started inadvertently among wood logs stored for use in the factory's boiler. "Since the logs are highly flammable, the fire spread quickly, but our team brought it under control," he added...
