, April 4 -- A fire that broke out at an unauthorised gas lighter factory in Kadamtali Gol Chattar area of South Keraniganj on Saturday afternoon has been brought under control.

The fire started around 1 pm at a tin-shed factory used for manufacturing gas lighters.

Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of the Fire Service and Civil Defence (FSCD) headquarters media cell, said seven firefighting units rushed to the scene around 1:16 pm after receiving the information and brought the blaze under control around 2:30 pm.
