Dhaka, Sept. 14 -- Bangladeshi expatriates remitted US$1.42 billion in the first 13 days of September 2026, registering a 9.3 percent year-on-year growth, according to the latest data from Bangladesh Bank.

On September 13 alone, the country received $193 million in remittances.

During the same 13-day period in September 2025, Bangladesh fetched $1.306 billion in remittances.

Remittance inflows to Bangladesh reached US$7.25 billion between July 1 and September 13 of the current fiscal year (FY27), registering a 16.9 percent year-on-year growth, according to the central bank data.

The country received $6.20 billion during the corresponding period of FY26.
