Dhaka, Oct. 11 -- The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) on Sunday framed charges against 26 people, including former Dhaka-18 lawmaker Mohammad Habib Hasan and former Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Habibur Rahman, in a case filed over the killing of BUP student Mir Mahfuzur Rahman Mugdha and 10 other people during the anti-discrimination student movement in Uttara in 2024.

The three-member ICT-2, chaired by Justice Nozrul Islam Chowdhury, passed the order, paving the way for the formal trial.

The tribunal had initially scheduled September 16 to deliver its order on charge framing but deferred it to September 23. The order was postponed again to October 11.
