, April 10 -- An elderly man was seriously injured and a man was arrested with a firearm following a land boundary dispute in Bhandaria upazila of Pirojpur on Friday morning.

The incident took place around 7:30am in Dhawa village under Dhawa Union No. 5, creating panic in the area.

The injured, Md Almagir Hossain Sardar (65), son of late Abdur Rashid Sardar of the same village, is currently undergoing treatment at Bhandaria Upazila Health Complex.

Police arrested the accused, Md Rofiqul Islam Samrat (60), son of late Md Ali Hawlader of Dhawa village, with a pistol following the incident.
