Dhaka, Oct. 12 -- The closure of King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh following an attack has disrupted eight flights operated by four airlines, affecting 2,951 passengers, according to airport authorities.

According to the airport's Flight Management section, three of the affected flights are operated by Saudia Airlines, while Biman Bangladesh Airlines and Riyadh Airways operate two each and US-Bangla Airlines operates one.

The disruption has affected both Bangladeshi and foreign airlines operating flights to and from Riyadh.

Authorities are monitoring the situation, while further updates on the resumption of airport operations and arrangements for affected passengers are awaited.
