Ebola outbreak in Congo, Uganda triggers global emergency status: WHO
Dhaka, May 17 -- The World Health Organization on Sunday declared that the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Uganda amounts to a "public health emergency of international concern."
In a post on social media platform X, the WHO said the outbreak - caused by the Bundibugyo virus - does not qualify as a pandemic-level emergency.
