Dhaka, July 30 -- The Dhaka University authorities have suspended three teachers and one university official, while relieving four other teachers of all academic and administrative responsibilities over separate allegations.

The decisions were taken at a Syndicate meeting held on July 28, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr ABM Obaidul Islam.

The Syndicate suspended Prof Dr Sadeka Halim of the Department of Sociology over allegations of unbecoming conduct inside and outside the classroom, moral misconduct and other complaints.
