Dhaka, March 9 -- Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) has issued strict directives to reduce fuel and electricity consumption as part of the government's broader efforts to address the ongoing global energy situation.
The office order, signed by DSCC Secretary Mohammad Nasim Ahmed, came into effect immediately, said DSCC Public Relations Officer Rasel Rahman.
According to a DSCC office order issued on Monday, fuel allocation for vehicles used by officials will be reduced by 30 percent, while fuel supply for waste management vehicles will be cut by 20 percent.
The directive was issued under the instruction of DSCC Administrator Md Abdus Salam with the aim of ensuring cost reduction and efficient use of resources.
