Dhaka, Aug. 17 -- Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Md Abdus Salam on Monday announced a zero-tolerance policy against harassment of businesses and illegal financial transactions in the issuance and renewal of trade licences.

A revenue department official of the DSCC, Mostafa Nuruddin Ahmed, has been relieved of his duties following allegations of harassment and bribery in connection with the issuance and renewal of trade licences.

He has also been asked to explain in writing within three working days why administrative and legal action should not be taken against him.
