Dhaka, May 24 -- Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) has launched its first-ever Debating Club aimed at developing journalists' logical, analytical and intellectual skills.

The inaugural ceremony of the Debating Club was held at the Shafiqul Kabir Auditorium of DRU on Sunday afternoon.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Bobby Hajjaj, MP, attended the event as the chief guest.

He said DRU has long provided a platform where programmes can be held without obstruction and expressed hope that it would remain open to all voices, including criticism of the government.
