, Oct. 5 -- A Dhaka court on Monday denied the bail petition of film actor Ashraful Haque Don in a case filed over the death of film star Salman Shah.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Manjurul Islam passed the order, said Additional Public Prosecutor of the court Muhammad Shamsuddoha Sumon.

Earlier, lawyer of Don submit a petition seeking his bail in the case.

His lawyer presented seven arguments in the bail petition, claiming that he was innocent.

Among the arguments, the lawyer claimed that a review of two inquest reports, two autopsy reports, as well as the viscera and chemical examination reports showed that Salman Shah had died by suicide.
