Dhaka, May 13 -- The Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has formally launched its source segregation of waste initiative, aimed at improving urban cleanliness and strengthening waste management in the capital.

The programme was inaugurated on Tuesday morning at an event in Gulshan, where green and yellow colour-coded waste bins along with polybags were distributed among participants.

DNCC Administrator Md Safiqul Islam Khan attended the event as the chief guest, while Chief Waste Management Officer Commodore Mohammad Humayun Kabir was present as a special guest.
