Dhaka, May 18 -- Newly appointed Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed on Monday said special police drives against extortionists, muggers and drug traders are continuing ahead of Eid-ul-Azha 2026, urging all to play responsible roles in keeping the city and the state safe and functional.

He made the remarks while presiding over a coordination meeting on overall security and traffic management in the city for the upcoming Eid-ul-Azha at the conference room of the DMP headquarters.
