Dhaka, Sept. 1 -- The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Traffic Division on Tuesday launched a special drive to relocate buses remaining idle for long periods at Mohakhali Bus Terminal to a temporary bus depot in Purbachal.

The initiative aims to ease traffic congestion around the terminal, restore discipline on the roads and ensure smooth movement of passengers.

DMP Additional Commissioner (Traffic) Md Anisur Rahman, who was present during the drive, said buses kept at the terminal for long periods, including those waiting for hours before starting their next trips, were being relocated to the temporary depot in Purbachal in phases.
