Dhaka, June 4 -- Singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh has drawn criticism over a lyric in his 2026 song Aroma, which some social media users have described as offensive to the transgender community.

The controversy resurfaced on June 1, coinciding with the start of Pride Month, as users and content creators on social media began analysing the song's meaning and questioning its language. Although Aroma was originally released on April 23, debate over a particular verse emerged weeks later.

Content creator Faith Michael expressed disappointment in an Instagram reel, saying, "The queer community did not expect this from you."
