Dhaka ranks 48th in global air quality ranking
, Aug. 26 -- Dhaka ranked 48th among the world's most polluted cities on Wednesday morning, recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) score of 60.
The city's air quality was classified as 'moderate', according to the AQI scale.
India's Delhi, Uganda's Kampala and the Democratic Republic of Congo's Kinshasa occupied the first three spots on the list with AQI scores of 187, 159 and 159, respectively.
An AQI between 50 and 100 is considered "moderate" with an acceptable air quality while AQI between 101 and 150 is considered 'unhealthy for sensitive groups', while a score between 151 and 200 is classified as 'unhealthy'.
