Dhaka ranks 11th globally for poor air quality
Dhaka, Sept. 2 -- Dhaka ranked 11th among the world's cities with the worst air quality on Wednesday morning, recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) score of 105 at 09:35 am.
According to the AQI scale, the city's air quality was classified as "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups", poses health risks to children, older adults, and people with heart or lung diseases, while the general public is mostly unaffected.
Kuching in Malaysia topped the global pollution list with an AQI of 346, followed by Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo with 168 and Kolkata in India with 164.
