Dhaka in touch with Moscow over possible impact on Bangladeshis in Amur fire
, Aug. 27 -- Bangladesh is in contact with the Russian authorities through its Mission in Moscow to ascertain whether any Bangladeshi nationals have been affected by a fire that broke out at the construction site of the Amur Gas Chemical Complex (AGCC) in Russia's Amur Region.
"We will update you if we receive any specific information. We are working on it," a diplomatic source told UNB on Thursday.
The AGCC is one of the world's largest enterprises for production of polyethylene and polypropylene of the brands in-demand in the Russian and global markets.
The production capacity of the complex will be up to 2.7 million tons of finished products per year.
