, Sept. 19 -- Dhaka ranked 13th among the world's cities with the worst air quality on Saturday morning, recording an Air Quality Index (AQI) score of 121 at 09:02am.

According to the AQI scale, the city's air quality was classified as "Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups", poses health risks to children, older adults, and people with heart or lung diseases, while the general public is mostly unaffected.

Pakistan's Lahore, India's Kolkata and Malaysia's Kuching occupied the first three spots on list with AQI scores of 179, 171 and 169, respectively.
