Dhaka, KL eye concluding mutually beneficial FTA in 2027
Dhaka, June 22 -- Bangladesh and Malaysia on Monday expressed their commitment to advancing the negotiations with a view to concluding the Free Trade Agreement (FTA) between the two countries in 2027 for a "mutually beneficial, comprehensive and forward-looking" agreement that reflects current global trading practices.
The leaders - Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim - welcomed the progress made towards the commencement of negotiations on the FTA between the two countries, according to a joint statement shared by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
