Dhaka, Oct. 9 -- One more person died of dengue and 1,300 new patients were hospitalised across the country in the 24 hours until 8:00am on Friday.

With the latest death, the dengue death toll has risen to 295 in the country this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

The death was reported in Khulna division, it said.

Currently, 5,776 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at hospitals across the country.

Since January 1 this year, a total of 95,451 dengue patients have been admitted to hospitals across the country. Of them, 89,380 have recovered.
