Delhi High Court, Airport receive bomb threats ahead of Independence Day
Dhaka, Aug. 14 -- Security has been beefed up in the Indian capital after the Delhi High Court, Indira Gandhi International Airport, and several other key installations received bomb threats via email on Friday, just a day before the country's 80th Independence Day celebrations.
The threatening email, titled "Blast Delhi High Court @2:11 PM" and sent in the name of the separatist movement "Khalistan," detailed plans to blow up multiple locations across the city. The message claimed that members of the movement, which seeks to create an independent sovereign state for Sikhs, have already reached Delhi.
