Dhaka, July 29 -- Diplomatic Correspondents Association, Bangladesh (DCAB) has expressed deep grief at the death of Additional Foreign Secretary Ferdousi Shahriar.

DCAB President AKM Moinuddin and General Secretary Emrul Kayesh, in a condolence message on Wednesday, recalled her contributions to Bangladesh's diplomacy and her dedicated role in promoting the country's interests abroad throughout her diplomatic career.

They prayed for the eternal peace of her departed soul and extended their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Ferdousi Shahriar died on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at a hospital in the capital at the age of 54.
