Dhaka, Aug. 24 -- Customs House, Chattogram has taken an initiative to sell 442 containers of auctionable goods through an electronic auction in August as part of efforts to ease container congestion at Chattogram Port, enhance its operational capacity and prevent wastage of state resources.

The customs authorities regularly arrange auctions of uncleared and auctionable goods to ensure the efficient use of port facilities and safeguard physical and financial security, according to a press release issued on Monday.
