, Aug. 17 -- The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) will deliver its verdict any day in a case filed against Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and six others over crimes against humanity committed during the July 2024 uprising.

The three-member ICT-2, led by Justice Nozrul Islam Chowdhury, kept the verdict on curia advisari vult (CAV), a Latin term meaning the tribunal reserves the judgement, after concluding arguments from both sides in the case.

Earlier, on August 12, the prosecution completed its arguments seeking the maximum punishment for all seven accused.
