, April 14 -- Pahela Baishakh was welcomed in a colourful and festive atmosphere as the traditional Baishakhi Shobhajatra brought out from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka drew crowds of enthusiastic people on Tuesday.

The procession, adorned with masks and traditional folk motifs, reflected the rich cultural heritage of Bengal while promoting messages of unity, harmony and resistance to injustice.
