Dhaka, Sept. 29 -- More than 20 cocktails and other improvised explosive device-like objects, including potential petrol bombs (Molotovs), were recovered from the former Trade Fair ground in Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Monday afternoon.

The Special Response Battalion (SRB) conducted the operation at the grounds following a tip-off, said Additional DIG Naimul Hasan, commander of SRB-2.

He said the bomb-like objects were recovered during the operation and were subsequently neutralised by the SRB Bomb Disposal Unit.

SRB Squadron Leader Nifaz told the media that the SRB team reached the spot and began the operation after receiving the information.
