Clash between two groups of villagers in Sylhet leaves 10 injured
Sylhet, May 23 -- At least 10 people were injured in renewed clashes between residents of two villages in Companiganj Upazila following an attack on a man identified as Abul Hossain.
The tension spread in Khagail village and Gourinagar village from around 5:00pm on Friday.
Abul Hossain, 40, son of Akrom Ali of Gourinagar village and was a truck driver.
According to locals, an altercation broke out between two men from Khagail and Gourinagar villages over tying cattle at a cattle market in Khagail Bazar of the upazila. The dispute later escalated into a clash.
