Dhaka, Sept. 30 -- Customs Intelligence and Investigation Directorate (CIID) officials have seized 81.50 litres of foreign liquor of various brands from two passengers at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport, in excess of the duty-free limit.

Acting on a tip-off, officials of the Customs Intelligence and Investigation Circle, Airport (A-Shift), took up positions at the airport.

Roman Mikhailov, a passenger on Emirates flight EK0584 from Dubai, was stopped as he passed through the green channel, and all his baggage was scanned.

A search recovered 78.50 litres of liquor of various brands.
