Beijing, June 26 -- Zhao Leji, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC) of China, met Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Friday morning.

The meeting took place after the Prime Minister paid tribute to the Chinese revolutionary heroes at the Monument to the People's Heroes in Tiananmen Square.

Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon said the Prime Minister reached the Great Hall of the People around 9:30am local time after completing the wreath-laying ceremony.
