Dhaka, June 2 -- China on Tuesday conveyed its warm congratulations on the election of Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman as president of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).

It expressed hope and belief that President-elect Khalilur Rahman will unite all members, uphold sovereign equality, defend international rule of law, promote dialogue and consultation, and consolidate the foundation of multilateralism.
