Dhaka, July 8 -- The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Wednesday approved two procurement proposals involving the modernisation of power distribution infrastructure and a variation to a bridge construction project with a combined value of about Tk 257.42 crore.

The approval was given at the CCGP meeting held at the Secretariat with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair.

The committee approved awarding a contract worth Tk 141.33 crore under the Power Division's project titled "Network Infrastructure Development and Modernisation of Power Distribution System in the NESCO Area".
