Dhaka, Sept. 23 -- The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Wednesday approved two major procurement proposals for infrastructure development involving a combined cost of around Tk 3,748 crore.

Under the first proposal, the committee recommended awarding a contract worth Tk 118.33 crore for emergency rehabilitation and reconstruction of roads, bridges and culverts under the project titled "Emergency Rehabilitation and Reconstruction of Various Roads, Bridges and Culverts under Sunamganj and Habiganj Road Divisions Damaged in the 2022 Flood".

The project aims to rehabilitate and reconstruct road infrastructure damaged by the 2022 floods in Sunamganj and Habiganj.
