Dhaka, Aug. 19 -- The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Wednesday approved two proposals involving Tk 93.19 crore for consultancy and technical services in the railway and fertiliser sectors.

Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury chaired the CCGP meeting held at the NEC.

Under the first proposal, the committee recommended appointing a consortium of SMEC International Pty. Ltd. of Australia, SAA Architects Pte. Ltd. of Singapore, Yooshin Engineering Corporation of South Korea and ACE Consultants Ltd. of Bangladesh for consultancy services under the Bangladesh Railway project titled "Green Railway Transport Preparatory Technical Assistance".
