Dhaka, June 21 -- The deposed Awami League's activists have filed a case against four leaders and activists, including National Citizen Party (NCP) chief organiser (Southern Region) and Cumilla-4 MP Hasnat Abdullah, for allegedly "beating AL activists" during their recent visit to the UK.

The other accused are NCP leaders Ehtesham Haque, Zakir Chowdhury and Shahin Alam. Several unidentified individuals have also been named in the case.

The NCP UK Alliance confirmed the matter in a statement signed by its member secretary Md M A Himel on Saturday.
