Dhaka, April 13 -- Canadian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Ajit Singh on Monday underscored Canada's support for Bangladesh's power sector to enable its economic growth and energy security.

He said Canada values its partnership with Bangladesh and is keen to support efforts to expand reliable, affordable, and cleaner energy.

The High Commissioner, Senior Trade Commissioner Debra Boyce and Trade Commissioner Gulam Farhad Quazi met with Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmood and discussed issues of mutual interest.
