, March 25 -- A cabinet meeting began at the Secretariat on Wednesday afternoon with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in the chair.

The meeting started around 4:30pm at the Cabinet Division, said the Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Rumon.

Earlier in the morning, the Prime Minister chaired a special meeting to determine necessary steps to address the fuel situation amid rising global oil prices triggered by the ongoing Middle East conflict.
