Dhaka, Sept. 23 -- The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs on Wednesday approved two proposals to import urea fertiliser under government-to-government (G2G) arrangements for the 2026-27 fiscal year.

The approvals were made at a meeting of the committee after considering two proposals placed by the Ministry of Industries.

Under the first proposal, the committee recommended policy approval for amending the existing G2G agreement with Fertiglobe Distribution Limited of the United Arab Emirates to allow the purchase of bulk granular urea fertiliser on both FOB (Free on Board) and CFR (Cost and Freight) terms during the 2026-27 fiscal year.
