Dhaka, July 1 -- The Cabinet Committee on Government Purchase (CCGP) on Wednesday approved two contracts worth about Tk 281 crore for upgrading roads linking Lakshmipur, Noakhali and Feni districts with the National Special Economic Zone.

The recommendations came at a meeting of the committee held with Finance Minister Amir Khosru Mahmud Chowdhury in the chair.

Under the first proposal, the committee recommended awarding the WP-01 package of the project titled "Upgrading the roads connecting Lakshmipur, Noakhali and Feni districts with the National Special Economic Zone to the required standard" to MAH Construction Ltd at a cost of Tk 134.52 crore.

The committee also recommended approving the WP-02 package of the same project.
