, April 22 -- Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) has warned of a possible flash flood in Sunamganj due to rising water levels in major rivers, urging farmers to harvest ripened paddy without delay.
BWDB issued a press release in this regard on Wednesday.
BWDB Sunamganj Executive Engineer Mamun Hawlader said continuous rainfall in upstream areas has led to a steady increase in water levels in the Surma, Kushiyara and Baulai rivers as well as other rivers in the region.
