Dhaka, Oct. 5 -- A businessman was robbed of Tk 6 lakh after withdrawing the money from a bank and heading home on his motorcycle in Siddhirganj on Sunday afternoon.

The victim, Md Habibullah, 31, was also injured after the private car used by the alleged robbers hit his motorcycle while he was chasing them.

According to a written complaint filed with Siddhirganj Police Station, Habibullah withdrew Tk 6 lakh from BRAC Bank in the Dash Tola area of Chittagong Road and was returning to his home in Mizmizi Dakshinpara with the money.

When he reached the head of Mouchak Chalu Haji Road on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway, a white private car coming from behind blocked his motorcycle.
