, May 28 -- At least five people including a pregnant woman were killed and around 20 others injured in a collision between a bus and a motorbike in Bedgram area on the outskirts of Gopalganj town on Thursday.

The identities of the deceased could not be known yet, said police.

Witnesses said when a speeding motorcbike crashed into a Pirojpur-bound Dola Paribahan bus coming from Dhaka when it reached the area at noon.

Following the collision, the bus overturned on the highway while the motorcycle was mangled badly, leaving four people including two motorcyclists dead the spot.

With the help of locals, firefighters and police rescued the injured and took them to Gopalganj Medical College Hospital and General Hospital, where doctors decl...
