Budget session of Parliament to conclude July 9
Dhaka, June 7 -- The second session of the 13th Parliament is scheduled to conclude on July 9.
The decision was taken at the third meeting of the Business Advisory Committee on Sunday with Speaker Hafiz Uddin Ahmad in the chair.
The committee discussed the allocation of time and duration of the second session, which will primarily focus on the national budget for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
Following detailed deliberations, the committee decided to allocate a total of 40 hours for the general discussion on the budget.
It was also decided that, except on public holidays, parliamentary sittings will commence at 3:00 pm each day.
