Dhaka, June 25 -- British High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Sarah Cooke, paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Salahuddin Ahmed at his office room in the Ministry of Home Affairs at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Thursday.

During the meeting, various issues of mutual interest were discussed, including law and order and security issues, the Rohingya crisis, prevention of illegal migration, combating organized immigration crime, and meetings of the Joint Working Group, said a handout.

Highlighting the deep-rooted ties between Bangladesh and the United Kingdom, the Minister called the UK a close ally and one of Bangladesh's key development partners.
