Dhaka, Aug. 12 -- A bomb exploded on Barishsl Chief Judicial Magistrate Court premises on Wednesday morning, triggering panic among judges, lawyers and court officials.

The explosion occurred around 10:30 am inside the main entrance of the 10-storey court building, according to witnesses.

The blast caused people inside the court premises to panic and run for safety, they said.

Kamrul Islam, administrative officer of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, said senior police officials visited the scene following the incident.

"We are helping police identify those responsible for the explosion by providing CCTV footage," he said.
