, Aug. 15 -- BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi on Saturday said a fake press release bearing his forged signature was circulated on Facebook on Friday (Aug 14) by a "vested group" with ulterior motives.

In a press statement issued on Saturday, Rizvi said the press release circulated on Facebook on Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), was completely false, fabricated and malicious.

He said the fake press release was not sent to the media by the BNP office under his signature.

Rizvi urged leaders and activists of the BNP at all levels not to be misled or confused by the fake press release circulated on social media.
