Dhaka, Nov. 1 -- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a two-member partial convening committee for its Dhaka North city unit on Sunday.

Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Safiqul Islam Khan as convener and Dhaka-18 MP SM Jahangir Hossain has been named as member secretary, in the committee.

The information was disclosed in a press release sent by BNP Assistant Office Secretary Md Munir Hossain on night.

The partial committee has been asked to form a full-fledged convening committee within the next two weeks.

The important organisational unit of the party got its new leadership more than a month after the previous convening committee was dissolved.
