, June 29 -- The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued a lightning and thundershower alert for six districts, warning of sudden gusty winds and rain on Monday.

According to the bulletin, scattered parts of Bogura, Naogaon, Jamalpur, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Chandpur districts are likely to experience temporary gusty winds accompanied by lightning, thunderstorms, or rainfall by 1 pm today.

As part of the hazard safety measures, the Met Office has strongly advised residents in the affected areas to remain indoors and avoid going outside as soon as they hear thunder.
